Taco Salad Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing

Instructions:
  1. Cook the meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain the fat, then add the taco seasoning and follow the package instructions.
  2. Prepare the salad: In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, black beans, corn, diced avocado, black olives, green onions, and cilantro.
  3. Add the meat: Add the cooked meat to the salad and toss to combine.
  4. Add chips: Crush the tortilla chips and add them to the salad. Toss again.
  5. Make the dressing: In a small bowl, mix together the salsa, sour cream, and ranch dressing. This will be your salad dressing.
  6. Combine everything: Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss one final time to make sure everything is well coated.
  7. Serve: Serve the taco salad immediately. Enjoy!

Note: You can also add other ingredients such as jalapenos, bell peppers, or diced onions according to your preference.
