Taco Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can corn, drained
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 bag tortilla chips
- 1 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
Instructions:
- Cook the meat:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain the fat, then add the taco seasoning and follow the package instructions.
- Prepare the salad:
In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, black beans, corn, diced avocado, black olives, green onions, and cilantro.
- Add the meat:
Add the cooked meat to the salad and toss to combine.
- Add chips:
Crush the tortilla chips and add them to the salad. Toss again.
- Make the dressing:
In a small bowl, mix together the salsa, sour cream, and ranch dressing. This will be your salad dressing.
- Combine everything:
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss one final time to make sure everything is well coated.
- Serve:
Serve the taco salad immediately. Enjoy!
Note: You can also add other ingredients such as jalapenos, bell peppers, or diced onions according to your preference.
